faculty ORAL OR POSTER presentation submission guidelines
We invite faculty members to submit proposals for 20-minute oral or poster presentations. This is a wonderful opportunity to share your work with colleagues and students. We are looking for presentations that are relevant and engaging for both undergraduate and graduate students. We encourage submissions on topics such as:
  • Research Findings: Share your findings on original scholarly work or ongoing research projects.
  • Industry Practice: Share insights and best practices from the field of sport management.
  • Real-world Applications: Discuss how sport management theory is applied in professional settings.

Submission Guidelines:
  1. Proposal Content: Proposals should include a title, an abstract (250 words max), and a brief biography of the presenter(s).
  2. Registration Requirement: At least one presenter must be registered and attend the symposium in order to present.

STUDENT ORAL OR POSTER PRESENTATION SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
The North Carolina Sport Management Association (NC SMA) and the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA) are excited to announce a call for undergraduate and graduate student presentation proposals for our upcoming Regional Symposium. This event will take place on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025, at Truist Field the home of the Charlotte Knights in Uptown Charlotte.
Submission Guidelines for 20-minute oral presentation OR poster presentations:

  1. Proposal Content: Proposals should include a title, an abstract (250 words max), and a brief biography of the presenter(s).
  2. Registration Requirement: All presenters must be registered for the symposium in order to present.
Submissions may include empirical research, case studies, and conceptual/theoretical work.

Deadline: no later than October 10, 2025. All submissions should be sent as a Word document to Troy Carlton.
