Chi Sigma Mu Honor Society
The COSMA Chi Sigma Mu (CSM) Honor Society represents the best students that COSMA-accredited programs have to offer. CSM students perform at the top of their class academically, volunteer within their department, college, and institution, pursue professional development opportunities, and foster community between students and faculty within their program. Faculty at COSMA-accredited institutions may nominate up to ten bachelor's students, ten master's students, and five doctoral students each year. The CSM induction ceremony takes places at the annual COSMA Conference each year. CSM nominations are due no later than December 1 each year, preceding the annual COSMA Conference in February.

qualifications for consideration
Chi Sigma Mu (CSM) is the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA) Student Honor Society. As COSMA exists to promote excellence in sport management education through specialized accreditation, CSM exists to recognize undergraduate and graduate students at COSMA accredited institutions. Membership to CSM is exclusive and requires a dedication to academic studies, service to the institution and community, and a passion for advancing the field of sport management. Nomination to CSM indicates that a student is among the highest regarded at their institution and serves as a leader within their campus and greater community.
Minimum qualifications to be considered for admission to CSM are as follows:
CSM inductees are recognized at the annual COSMA Conference (held in the beginning of February). CSM inductees receive complimentary COSMA Conference registration, CSM certificate, and CSM lapel pin. Faculty can nominate students to be considered for admittance to CSM by clicking the Chi Sigma Mu Nomination Form Tab above.

- Nomination by a faculty member of a program that is a member of COSMA.
- Coursework and GPA Requirements:
- At least 60 credit hours completed.
- Minimum 3.4 GPA.
- At least 18 credit hours completed towards degree.
- Minimum 3.6 GPA.
- At least 50 percent of coursework completed.
- Minimum 3.6 GPA.
